SWA celebrated Book Week from 27 to 30 January 2016 with a lot of interesting and fun activities.
- Book Fair
SWA became a host for major booksellers in Jakarta where they can sell their books during the Book Week.
- Book Swap
Students got a chance to bring any book, fiction or non-fiction, from home and exchanged it with other books from their friends. The students may also donate their books for a charity cause in celebration of UN World Book Day on April 2016.
- Library Photo Contest ‘Reading with My Lovely Person’ for K1-Grade 2
Students and parents of K1 – Grade 2 joined the photo contest by submitting a picture of student reading a book with a person dear to them. All of SWA Community were welcomed to vote for their favorite photo.
- Story Telling for Grade 3-5
Students from Grade 3 – 5 may participated for Story Telling competition. They did qualification round during library time to get top 3 finalists from each class. The final round was held in the theater, where they also competed with JWA students.
- Book Character Competition “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne for Grade 6-8
Grade 6 – 8 students got a chance to decorate their classroom with any accessories or information about the country they like based on the novel “Around the World in 80 Days”. It was very interesting to see mini India, UK, Italy, Japan etc created by the students. SWA community was also invited to vote for the best classroom decoration.
